看板上說，登七星而小天下，確實是如此，遠眺還能見到北海岸，若是天晴能見度佳，應該能看見更遠。
Walking on the summit to see the whole Taipei Area, it's definitely true. Even the north shore on a good sunny day!
今天的路線從苗圃登山口 (陽明山國家公園遊客中心) 出發 -> 經過冷苗步道 -> 抵達冷水坑 ->過了教育廣播電台的發射器之後 -> 轉往夢幻湖 -> 再回頭上七星東峰 -> 七星主峰 -> 最後下到小油坑。
整個路線難度不太高，只有在攀登上東峰的時候，樓梯不是太好走。大約十點鐘出發，三點不到便出了小油坑，中間還停留拍照休息蠻長的時間。
We start from Miao-Pu trial-head (YangMing Mt. Information) -> walking through Leng-MiaoTrail -> to Education Radio transmitter -> Meng-Huan Pond -> Back on the trail to QiXing East Peak -> QiXing Main Peak -> Down to Xiao-You-Keng trail head.
This whole route is about 4-5 hours, only the stairs up to east peak are a bit rough, not to hard to go on the peak.
中途轉向夢幻湖 (Meng-Huan Pond)，剛好看見兩隻鴨在湖裡散步戲水，倒是挺浪漫的。不過話說，上到七星公園那一帶山頂的風是蠻大的，保暖要做好是真的。
七星山是為台北第一高峰，海拔高度1120公尺，一等三角點，東峰為三等三角點，海拔高度1107公尺。規劃完善的步道，只要不是急爬昇或下降太多的段落，都蠻好走的。交通方便，從士林或北投捷運站都有車可以上到國家公園的遊客服務中心，一路上來來去去，看見許多外國觀光客，以登山活動來說倒是比較難得的景象。不只單人、情侶甚至碰見一整個外國家停上來走走，也因為它是台北第一高峰，又隸屬於陽明山國家公園的關係吧！
QiXing Mt is the highest peak around Taipei area, height 1120 m, east peak height 1107 m. It's really easy to get to this easy and fine trail. Met a quite a few people come up here by taking the bus from ShiLing or Beitou MRT station to the National Park Information Center see the whole Taipei area and enjoy the special view of volcano fumaroles.
下到小油坑，一股濃濃的硫磺味撲鼻而來，到處都是噴氣孔為小油坑最特別的景致，甚至路旁還有滾燙的水，記得真的很燙，千萬不要用手去摸。看看就好逆！
